am i nuts for thinking that they're giving the christian right this victory in part to get the population back up after covid
@kate yeah that theory needs some work. i do think theres something biopolitical going on with more regulation of human life and social reproduction in general though
@bp oh absolutely. this is all of a piece with the transition bans and genital inspections etc and I think goes hand in hand with fashy anxiety about sperm counts or whatever
@bp abortion bans tend to lower the population because they don’t lessen the amount of abortions but do increase deaths of abortion seekers
